Story

There once was a young property developer, with grand visions of urban sprawl and rows upon rows of the same generic houses. One night, the young property developer prayed for the death of every native animal that held back his development plans while dreaming of miles upon miles of open fields with not a single tree in sight. But even Satan thinks property developers are the worst kind-of douches and decided to kick off the apocalypse early because fuck them.

You were out, minding your own damn business, in the glorious Aussie outback, when suddenly, with eyes glowing red, the creatures starting dropping from trees around you and attacking. And now you must survive the savage Australian outback.

Also, there's fuck all water to be found to relieve that constant thirst. And while shade under a gum tree provides relief from the deadly outback sun, don't stay too long...

Gameplay

• Left click to move.
• Right click to attack
• Buttons 1-5 change weapons
• Escape to pause/quit.

Shade will refill your health and heal your sunburn. Water will hydrate you. But, beware what lurks in the trees and water...

Post Jam Thoughts

TBH, not completely happy with how this turned out. As always, my ambition exceeded my capacity. I didn't get half as much complete as I would have liked, and I didn't quite get to replacing all the pre-made assets and animating the ones I did create. The jank is high in this jam game. And no HTML build, because right clicking. That was stupid. I should have gone with twin stick controls or something. Oh well, it was an opportunity to learn more modeling in blender, and build some new game systems.
